Spyro announces Tiwa Savage features on ‘Who’s Your Guy’ remix
All it took was a call from Tunde Ednut…
One of the current artistes of the moment, Spyro, whose real name is Oludipe David Oluwasanmi, has shared how he got one of the Afrobeats legends, Tiwa Savage, on the remix of his hit song.
Spyro, who got the streets raving about his song, ‘Who’s Your Guy?’ even recently wowed his fans with the remix. The remix got a lot of people talking, with the major comment being that the queen Tiwa “ate” her verse and gave the song a whole new dimension, further cementing the love for the song.
However, the second question has been, “How?” How was Spyro able to tap Tiwa for the remix? Spyro took to Instagram to share how the self-proclaimed “kingmaker” and popular blogger, Tunde Ednut, made it happen.
According to him, Tunde Ednut reached out to him and asked who he’d like to feature on the song to make it better. After reviewing a couple of names, they settled on Tiwa Savage, and things fell into place.
In his words, “So @mufasatundeednut buzzed me and said to me …your song is Blown and it’s time to take it to the next level so who would you wanna have on it? We went through a couple of names and we both landed on @tiwasavage so he called her up and BOOM the rest is history and I must say looking back that I don’t regret a bit of that decision…S/O to @mufasatundeednut the baddest plug and to the queen @tiwasavage herself I LOVE YOU , thank you for being the best GUY so far #WYG.”
