Late CNN founder, Ted Turner
CNN founder, Ted Turner has given up the ghost at the age of 87 after battling dementia.
Turner Enterprises announced Ted died Wednesday morning.
The charismatic, larger-than-life figure who conquered the world of media, sports and philanthropy had back in 2018, announced he’d been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia.
That announcement came shortly after his 80th birthday.
Turner, Time Magazine’s Man of the Year in 1991, transformed the world of television, inventing 24-hour news with CNN and pioneering national basic cable.
