Ned Nwoko raises ₦30 billion in projects to Delta North

Senator Ned Nwoko has announced a groundbreaking development for Delta North, highlighting the facilitation of over ₦30 billion in projects aimed at transforming the region.
The funding comes through President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to address critical infrastructure and agricultural needs.
In a tweet on X, Nwoko expressed pride in the progress, stating, “I am proud to announce that through President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, I’ve facilitated over ₦30 billion in projects aimed at transforming the lives of the people of Delta North and beyond.”
The projects, funded through Mr. President’s special intervention funds, focus on enhancing infrastructure and boosting agricultural productivity in the region.
“These projects will address key infrastructure needs and improve agricultural productivity in the region,” Nwoko added.
Among the ongoing initiatives, Nwoko highlighted significant strides in the Benin-Owena River Basin Authority, particularly the construction of treatment plants and reticulation systems at the Ogwashi-Uku Dam in Aniocha South.
This project is already showing progress in providing better water management for local communities.
“Additionally, the Idumuje Dam project in Aniocha North is set to fast-track water management solutions in the area, with over ₦7.5 billion invested,” Nwoko said, emphasizing the importance of addressing the region’s water challenges.
Beyond water management, Nwoko also pointed to the prioritization of irrigation systems across the region, saying these systems are aimed at boosting farming activities, with provisions for quality seedlings, fertilizers, and farming implements for local farmers.
“Together, we will continue to build a prosperous and thriving Delta State,” Nwoko concluded, stressing his commitment to ensuring year-round farming and improving food security for the people of Delta North.
