The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has inspected preparations for his fifth coronation anniversary in Okere, Warri, Delta State.
The monarch conducted the on-the-spot assessment during his morning fitness routine, riding his electric scooter and moving through the area accompanied by members of his security team.
The video of the inspection was shared on his Facebook page on Saturday with the caption, “His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, as part of his fitness regimen, this morning conducted an on-the-spot assessment tour of preparations towards the coming 5th Coronation anniversary.”
Residents and others who encountered the monarch hailed and cheered him as he went about his inspection.

His public appearance also attracted reactions on Facebook, with users commending his accessibility and demeanour.
Reacting to the post on Facebook, Iniobong Esen described the monarch’s approach to leadership as commendable, saying “This is how leaders are supposed to be admired, not inside an atomic bomb- proof vehicle but openly and freely moving around to inhale the air of positive and negative condition of his people.”
Another user, Avwerosuo Amos Govina, described Atuwatse as a “king” with “class and charisma,” while Enujeke Prosper referred to him as “the Digital king with a difference.”

The Olu of Warri is expected to mark his fifth anniversary on the throne with a series of activities.
The monarch has gone viral in multiple videos of him choosing a scooter over a traditional motorcade for public appearances.
In March 2025, he was seen riding a scooter through his ancestral home, Ode-Itsekiri, while being cheered on by residents.
The Olu was also captured in the public in December 2025 where he rode an electric scooter while inspecting a newly completed road in Delta State.
