Distinguished Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State and founder of the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), has approved the appointment of Dr Babatunde Onadeko as Executive Secretary and Dr Bankole Adegboyega Osisanya as Chief Medical Consultant in a move aimed at strengthening the foundation’s leadership structure and expanding its community-focused initiatives.
The appointments bring together professionals from banking, healthcare and public service as the organisation seeks to improve its capacity in delivering humanitarian support, healthcare interventions, educational programmes and grassroots development projects.
Daniel said the appointments reflected his commitment to building a stronger institutional framework for the foundation through individuals with proven records of professional achievement, integrity and service.
Dr Onadeko, a banking and management professional, brings decades of experience in finance, administration and corporate governance. He previously served as South-West Zonal Head of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and has held leadership responsibilities within Nigeria’s financial sector.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Babcock University. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and the Enterprise Risk Professionals (FERP), while maintaining professional affiliations with the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD).
Onadeko currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Veritas Glanvills Pensions, where he contributes to corporate governance, financial oversight and institutional development.
His appointment, according to the foundation, is expected to strengthen its administrative operations and support strategic planning as the organisation expands its activities.
Dr Osisanya, appointed Chief Medical Consultant, brings more than four decades of medical practice, healthcare entrepreneurship and community service to the role.
A native of Ijebu-Ode, Osun? no, Ogun State, Dr Osisanya studied Physiology at the University of Ibadan before obtaining his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He worked in several public healthcare institutions, including State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, General Hospital, Ibiade and General Hospital, Ijebu-Ife, before establishing Ebun Ola Hospital in Ibiade and Ijebu Imusin in 1990.
Beyond his medical career, Osisanya has contributed to public service, serving as Supervisor for Health in Ijebu East Local Government and as a member of the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board.
He also serves as Federal Constituency Supervisor for Ogun Waterside, Ijebu East and Ijebu North Local Government Areas. He holds traditional titles including Bamisegun of Ibiade and Otunba Sobaloju of Ijebu Imusin.
Daniel expressed confidence that both appointees would apply their expertise and experience towards advancing the foundation’s objectives.
He congratulated Onadeko and Osisanya, urging them to uphold the values of diligence, innovation and commitment to public service as they take on their new responsibilities.
The appointments mark a new phase for the Gateway Front Foundation as it continues efforts to deepen its humanitarian and development programmes through stronger professional leadership.
