TikTok star Peller turns away from school just days after admission

Popular TikTok content creator Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, has announced his decision to quit his university education, just days after celebrating his admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State.
He had revealed this during a live session on TikTok, where he cited financial concerns and the potential impact of schooling on his income as reasons for the decision. According to the influencer, spending long hours in class without earning money was frustrating and unsustainable for him at this stage of his life.
“Guys, I swear to God, I remember I said I am going to school… I am not going again,” he said during the livestream. “I was inside class for four hours. I didn’t make any money. I will write, I will look, I will play, not making anything. God forbid. I am not doing that one again.”
Pellerl expressed discomfort about his age difference with other students, noting that he felt out of place among classmates he described as much older.
“When I enter the school, I notice that everyone is old. I am the only young blood there,” he said. “So I need to go old. Maybe when I clock like 30 or 40 years, I will now go to school. Please cancel everything. I am tired.”
The announcement marks a sharp reversal from Peller’s recent excitement after securing admission into a law programme. At the time, he had publicly celebrated the milestone and responded to critics who had previously mocked his educational background.
“Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university,” he had said. “Now, all of you should leave social media because I’m in school. I’m now studying law. You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law.”
