Don Jazzy launches the 2027 Tech Scholarship with TS Academy, offering tuition discounts, laptops and internet data support to selected Nigerians
Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy has announced the 2027 Tech Scholarship, an initiative designed to help Nigerians acquire digital skills, with selected beneficiaries set to receive tuition discounts, laptops and internet data support.
The music executive announced the programme in a video shared on his X account on Monday, October 26, 2026, revealing that he was partnering with TS Academy to provide the training opportunity.
According to Don Jazzy, the scholarship will allow interested Nigerians to learn technology-related skills, including artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, virtual assistance and cybersecurity.
The initiative is aimed at expanding access to digital education by reducing some of the financial barriers associated with technology training.
Don Jazzy disclosed that successful applicants would receive tuition discounts of up to ₦447,000, alongside reductions in their application fees.
In addition to the tuition support, 50 laptops will be made available, while approximately 100 beneficiaries will receive monthly internet data support.
The laptops and data benefits will be allocated to selected participants after enrolment, according to the announcement.
The initiative is expected to provide beneficiaries with access to training and some of the resources needed to develop practical digital skills.
The music producer urged Nigerians to share information about the scholarship with friends and family members who might benefit from the programme.
In his characteristic humorous style, he also took a swipe at people who frequently approach him for financial assistance with personal expenses, including travel, hair purchases and club outings.
He questioned whether such requests were the reason some people contacted him, encouraging Nigerians instead to invest in education and skills that could improve their prospects.
Emphasising the importance of learning, Don Jazzy said, “Education is key.”

Applicants should consult the official scholarship platform for eligibility requirements, application deadlines, available courses and the conditions for receiving laptops and monthly data support.
The announcement adds to efforts to encourage digital skills development in Nigeria, where technology-related training can help prepare young people and other learners for opportunities in the evolving digital economy.
