Nigerians Entertainers with Biggest and Successfully Performance on Stage.

When it comes to music, Nigeria is a country that can hold its own on the global stage.

The infectious rhythms of afrobeat and the catchy melodies of Afropop are the uniqueness of Nigerian music that has captivated audiences around the world.

As a result, Nigerian musicians have performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues from the O2 Arena in London to Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Here are some of the most memorable times Nigerian musicians have sold out on the world’s biggest stages:

    1) Wizkid

In May 2018, Wizkid made history as the first Nigerian artist to sell out London’s iconic O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20,000. This event marked a milestone in his career, and he has since had multiple sold-out concerts at the venue.

In addition to his success at the O2 Arena, Wizkid has also sold out other renowned venues around the world, including France’s largest indoor arena, the Accor Arena in Paris, which has a capacity of 20,300.

He has sold out the O2 Arena in the UK five times, as well as the 9,000-capacity Prospect Park Bandshell in the USA, the 5,272-capacity Royal Albert Hall in the UK, and the 5,039-capacity Eventim Apollo in the UK.

These achievements highlight Wizkid’s international success and the impact of Nigerian music on the global stage.

    2) Burna Boy

    Burna Boy

Burna Boy’s impressive musical career has led him to achieve a remarkable feat as the only African artist to sell out four major arenas in the United States, including the iconic Hollywood Bowl, with a capacity of 17,000, and the Toyota Centre, which can hold up to 19,000 people.

In addition, he has sold out two other arenas with a massive capacity of 21,000, namely the Madison Square Garden and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

But Burna Boy’s achievements do not end there. He has also single-handedly sold out a variety of other esteemed venues around the world, such as the Accor Arena, O2 Arena, Ziggo Dome, Ahoy Arena, Wembley Arena, Partille Arena, Geneva Arena, Hovet Arena, and Toyota Music Factory.

Burna Boy has proven to be a true African Giant.

    3) Davido

In January 2019, Davido sold out the O2 Arena in London. The singer and music producer wowed the crowd with his electrifying performance, which featured collaborations with other talented Nigerian artists such as Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Dremo. Zlatan Ibile also graced the stage, adding to the unforgettable night.

Fast forward to 2022, and Davido did it again, selling out the O2 Arena for the second time. Once again, the artist delivered an unforgettable show, leaving fans in awe.

    4) Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage made history as the first African female musician to sell out the prestigious Indigo at the O2 Arena in London. Her concert, “The Savage Tour,” was her debut performance in the UK, and fans were eager to witness the iconic moment.

The event was a resounding success, with tickets for the concert selling out well before the start of the show.

As a trailblazer for African female musicians, Savage’s sold-out show at the Indigo is proof of the growing influence of African music on the world stage.

    5) Yemi Alade

Yemi Eberechi Alade, a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress, and activist, kicked off her highly anticipated ‘Mama Africa’ World Tour in the French capital at Le Trianon and it was completely sold out days before the concert!

Alade treated her fans to a special surprise by inviting international saxophonist Jean-Baptiste Moundele to join her on stage for a captivating performance of “Na Gode.”

She also performed the romantic duet “Temperature” with Afro R&B singer Dil and collaborated with Marvin on the French version of “Kissing.” The guest appearances added to the excitement of the already electrifying performance.

Yemi Alade shared clips of her performance on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her fans worldwide.
