Activity Report: Presentation of the Itsekiri Bible

On September 20, 2024, Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the Warri Kingdom, graced the Museum of the Bible with their presence for the historic presentation of the Itsekiri Bible. The event began with opening remarks by Mrs. Jackie Green, who later signed a copy of her book for the Queen as a special gesture. Dr. Carlos Campo continued with an introduction to the IllumiNations project.

Their Majesties shared heartfelt remarks about the significance of the Bible translation for the Itsekiri people, acknowledging the challenges and triumphs of the project. The King and Queen then ceremoniously presented the Itsekiri Bible, marking its official placement on the shelves of the museum, symbolizing the completion and acquisition of this important translation. Photos were taken with the Bible, and guests later transitioned to a celebratory brunch in the Members Lounge to conclude the event.
