Sanwo-Olu celebrates deputy, Hamzat, at 59
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, has congratulated his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on his 59th birthday.
The governor, on Tuesday, praised him for being a reliable partner in achieving the ‘Greater Lagos’ agenda and delivering good governance to the people of Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu also praised Hamzat for his remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Lagos State over the past 18 years in various roles. According to Sanwo-Olu, From Hamzat’s time as a commissioner in different ministries to his current position as the deputy governor, he has consistently brought about positive change to Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
The governor highlighted that Hamzat’s re-election as a two-term deputy governor and his status as the longest-serving deputy governor in the political history of Lagos State are clear indications of his expertise, administrative skills, political acumen, and unwavering commitment to democracy.
He said, “Happy 59th birthday to my reliable, hardworking, dependable, supportive, trustworthy and committed brother, friend and partner in the Greater Lagos agenda of our administration.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the people and government of Lagos State, leaders and members of our party, the ruling All Progressives Congress, I wish Dr. Obafemi Hamzat many happy returns of today.
